I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY IT... BUT.... I'M (sick!) OF SNOW DAYS!
GASP!
I can not believe it, but it's true. I am so over this change in routine, for both myself and the kids! The one thing I am glad for is that it has given my kids a chance to get out and PLAY! In our test and high workload educational system, we sometimes forget that our kiddos are just children, who deserve the time off to build a snowman and throw some snowballs! This goes for teachers too! I had fun building one with my 4th grade teacher roommate.
I wanted to share a neat site I use all the time in my classroom to transition, time for rocket math, really anything that needs timing during our day! These can even be fun to use around the house to get your kiddos to do something quickly :)

I'll hopefully have much more to bring you once we have school for a full week;)
We are looking forward to making a fun mitten craft and reading Jan Brett's "The Mitten" Reader's Theatre. We are also looking forward to doing some Valentine's Day graphing activities and exchanging goodies!
For now, I'm waiting with a cup of hot chocolate in hand, for the 2-hr delay call to go along with this ice storm!
STAY SAFE!
