We have finally started to see a peak of spring weather and the kids and this teacher are VERY excited. We have been up to a lot since my last post.
We also wrote news articles. The students had to get use to writing informational pieces. They were allowed to chose their own topics. We had informational animal pieces, to sports, some even wrote about the legend of the Banshee!
We have also been studying the Susquehannock Indian tribe. It was neat to see one student who brought in her own supplies to build her very own tribal village. This inspired other students to do this project at home too! Students used rocks and leaves to make wigwams and longhouses. It was neat to see what we are learning about come alive!
I also had some photos on my phone from PSSA Week. Each day we had a special activity after we worked hard on our tests. Some of the pictures below show our activities that ranged from a seeing eye dog presentation, to "Michaelangelo" style portraits, and finally some fun with Madlibs. These activities made for a fun post-testing afternoon!
We have been studying nouns/verbs and adjectives all year long! Students really enjoyed this board game that we played to help us practice how to identify different types of nouns/verbs/ and adjectives!
We are headed to a field trip tomorrow and we will soon already be in the month of May! Where did this year go!? WOW!
Looking forward to all of our fun end of year activities!
PS: I'll leave you with a fun 3rd grade test response--- a girl after my own heart ;)
