Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break everyone!
I'm still shocked at how fast this holiday went by, and how much food I've consumed in the past few days. With the start of school, should come the start of the gym, oy!

I will have more fun school projects to share as I get back into the classroom this week but I am excited to announce that my little blog has received its first "Liebster Award". Thanks to Colleen over at Fun and Fearless in First for the award nomination!

11 Questions for My Nominees
1.  What is your favorite subject to teach?
Reading.. I just started my master's degree in Language and Literacy. It is especially rewarding as a first grade teacher to see the HUGE development your students make from Day 1 to the end of the year. I love following them on the beginning of their literacy journeys!

Every Thanksgiving Eve my whole family gets together and we roll meatballs for our Italian Wedding Soup that we will eat the next day. It is definitely a unique tradition but one I know we will continue as our family grows older.

Oh gosh, far too many :) They are awesome to watch while grading papers... I have to say Real Housewives of New Jersey. Those ladies and their over the top drama suck me in.

This isn't exactly a chore, but I HATE taking off my nailpolish. I always have to have my nails done, but can't stand taking it off. I'm also not big on cleaning up the bathroom.. but someones gotta do it!
8.  What are you afraid of?
Rodents--- I don't like rats/mice/guinea pigs/hamsters. I get goosebumps when they are around! Needless to say, my future children will not be allowed to have these little critters as pets

Ooooh a mixture of the two! Favorite movie treat is popcorn with M+M's mixed in

I went to an all inclusive resort in Jamaica this summer and swear that it is a lil piece of heaven. The tropical beaches are so incredibly beautiful.

While student teaching last semester, I found so many wonderful blogs filled with amazing resources. I thought it would a useful tool to go along with my teaching portfolio and started by posting photos of things I worked on with my first student teaching class.
