What a crazy two weeks this has been! Central PA had two days off for Hurricane Sandy, but a lot of our neighbors weren't quite so lucky. Thoughts and well wishes go out to all our fellow teachers and schools hit by Sandy.
We were back in school just in time for Halloween. My kiddos looked so super cute, and we came to the conclusion that ninjas were the "it" costume of the year.
Teachers at my school went with the storybook character theme and I decided to try out being "Rainbow Fish". This hat is definitely a keeper!
With our week being so short, we had to try and squeeze in as many of our Halloween themed activities as possible. My favorite was our writing pieces.. inspired by Susan at "Thank God Its First Grade".
Lastly, do you LOVE the new look!? This website got a major professional makeover! I am in love with the design and think the artist captured my personality perfectly. It will be such a great resource for myself, students, and parents throughout this year.
Major props go to Erin Blecki over at "Creating and Designing". She was not only wonderful to work with, but very affordable. A HUGE thank you to you Erin for starting me off with my first official blog design!
I caught a case of bronchitis (Yay for weak new teacher immune systems) so I better get my beauty sleep!:)
Ta-Ta for now!
